Adam Siton knew early that generative AI would change how he works.

As TailorMed's co-founder, Adam has spent years shaping the technology behind the company's mission. Today, much of his attention is on what AI makes possible, first for the teams building TailorMed and then for the patients and care teams who rely on it.

Why the stakes are high

TailorMed is the medication success platform, built so that every patient who is prescribed a medication can get it, afford it and stay on it. Getting there means coordinating coverage requirements, financial assistance, enrollment and communication among patients, providers, pharmacies and manufacturers. Much of that work is still manual.

For Adam, that is exactly where AI can do the most good. "Complex workflows" isn't an abstraction in medication access. Each step that stalls can delay a patient's start on therapy.

Starting inside R&D

When generative AI took off, much of the industry focused on copilots, tools that answer questions and help with one task at a time. TailorMed explored that approach too, but Adam saw a bigger opportunity in systems that can take action more independently.

Rather than starting with customer-facing applications, he started with TailorMed's own engineering organization. Nearly two years ago, before autonomous coding agents were common, he began championing internal AI agents, tools and workflows to help engineers work faster.

According to Adam, R&D development velocity has more than doubled. The team is taking on more ambitious product roadmaps without a comparable increase in headcount.

"Our 2027 roadmap is going to be something we wouldn't even think could be remotely possible two years ago," he said.

Building with agents every day has also taught the team where autonomous systems excel, where they hit limits and when a person needs to step in. Those lessons now shape how TailorMed brings AI into its products, in an environment where accuracy and trust come first.

What AI can't build

Adam is enthusiastic about AI, but he is clear about its limits. Trusted relationships, partnerships and connections across complex healthcare data systems take years to build. A model can't generate them.

That is what makes TailorMed's position compelling to him. The network behind the platform reaches 75M+ patients across 950+ hospitals, 4,700+ clinics and 3,100+ pharmacies. With AI accelerating what the team can build, that foundation lets new capabilities reach patients and care teams at a pace that would have been hard to imagine before.

Still a builder

Co-founder title aside, Adam still calls himself a builder. He works closely with R&D and product leadership, including VP of R&D Dina Fine, to test emerging technology, take on hard technical problems and find ways to move faster. He follows new developments closely and often hands the team a tool to try almost as soon as it appears.

He says the pace has brought back the feeling of TailorMed's earliest days.

"I think the last two years brought us to a similar atmosphere as the first two years," he said.

Ask him where AI will be in five years, and he won't guess. The field moves too fast. What he is confident about is TailorMed's ability to adapt, keep building and turn new technology into better experiences for patients and care teams.

Adam’s story is one thread in a much larger fabric at TailorMed, one where the mission of moving mountains for patients shapes not just the work teams do, but how the people behind it choose to lead.

"From my first prompt with GPT, I knew that this was going to be the only thing I'd be obsessing about in the years to come."
